Communications and Information Technology (ICT) Infrastructure

Chandel district is now equipped with information technology services like other districts. The district and its sub-divisions are now connected to the internet. 

The CICs  provide information technology support in the sub-divisions and the NIC at the district hq.

At present NIC District Centre is providing information technology support to the district administration. Internet services are provided by two facilities, the Lease Line through BSNL and the DirecWay (VSAT) as in sub-divisions. NIC is also setting up SDO-NICNET at sub-divisional offices. Another service called SWAN (State Wide Area Network) is also coming up which will many district offices.
